This summer’s pop-up almost didn’t happen! I had planned to take a break to spend quality time with my family visiting from Slovakia, but fate had other plans. A spontaneous trip to Nordstrom’s liquidation sale led to an irresistible find: mannequins at a fraction of their usual cost! That lucky strike set everything in motion, and before I knew it, we were planning another pop-up. With an amazing staff handling the store, I still managed to cherish moments with my family while bringing our coastal boho vision to life in a stunning Gastown space.

Our handmade crochet Bella maxi skirt in exclusive emerald green has been featured in Vogue Czechoslovakia! Photographed by Maria Magdalinou against a minimalist coastal backdrop of sea and stones, and worn by model Léa de Wouters, the skirt showcases the artistry of our designs. Paired with the matching Bella long sleeve crop top, this stunning set was created exclusively for My Theresa, the German luxury online retailer. A proud milestone for our brand!

Our Surf Lounge Vancouver pop-up brought coastal chic fashion to the heart of Gastown. Our pop-up was more than just a shop, it was a love letter to the vibrant coastal lifestyle that inspires everything we create.  We transformed an unconventional retail space into a sun-kissed haven, brimming with the laid-back charm of the seaside.

In 2021, I hosted the Surf Lounge Vancouver Pop-Up and one of the most unforgettable moments was when Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, walked through our doors. Later that summer she was spotted wearing one of our handmade crochet tops that she purchased that day. What an honor!  

In 2021, we took a leap of faith and launched our first retail pop-up: the Surf Lounge Vancouver Pop-Up. From stunning crochet dresses and tie-dye pieces to versatile separates and signature hoodies, our curated space brought the boho, travel-inspired vibes to life. This milestone taught us invaluable lessons about connecting with customers and presenting our collection in a whole new way. This swimwear trend editorial features amazing crochet designs that will give your summer style a beachy bohemian upgrade. Vogue Paris highlighted our crochet Carly Off-Shoulder Top and Michelle High Waisted Bikini Bottoms in pastel rainbow stripes with black combination (great choice, if we do say so ourselves!).
