This summer’s pop-up almost didn’t happen! I had planned to take a break to spend quality time with my family visiting from Slovakia, but fate had other plans. A spontaneous trip to Nordstrom’s liquidation sale led to an irresistible find: mannequins at a fraction of their usual cost! That lucky strike set everything in motion, and before I knew it, we were planning another pop-up. With an amazing staff handling the store, I still managed to cherish moments with my family while bringing our coastal boho vision to life in a stunning Gastown space.

Our Surf Lounge Vancouver pop-up brought coastal chic fashion to the heart of Gastown. Our pop-up was more than just a shop, it was a love letter to the vibrant coastal lifestyle that inspires everything we create.  We transformed an unconventional retail space into a sun-kissed haven, brimming with the laid-back charm of the seaside.

In 2021, I hosted the Surf Lounge Vancouver Pop-Up and one of the most unforgettable moments was when Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, walked through our doors. Later that summer she was spotted wearing one of our handmade crochet tops that she purchased that day. What an honor!  

In 2021, we took a leap of faith and launched our first retail pop-up: the Surf Lounge Vancouver Pop-Up. From stunning crochet dresses and tie-dye pieces to versatile separates and signature hoodies, our curated space brought the boho, travel-inspired vibes to life. This milestone taught us invaluable lessons about connecting with customers and presenting our collection in a whole new way.
