When we opened the doors to our Surf Lounge Pop-Up Shop in Gastown last summer, we had no idea how warmly the community would embrace us. We’re thrilled to share that The Vancouver Sun featured our shop in their “It List,” highlighting it as a must-visit destination for the season. Authored by Aleesha Harris, the article captured the essence of what we set out to create: a blend of coastal chic and effortless boho style.

The product: Pop-up shop brings beach style to Gastown.

Why we love it: Vancouver-based resort and swimwear brand Anna Kosturova has set up a temporary boutique for the summer that is part surf lounge, part “boho boutique.”

Located at 164 Water St. in Gastown, the summer shop features a selection of the brand’s handmade crochet and silk tie-dye apparel, created by designer Kosturova, along with other curated pieces from four women-owned brands: Malvados sandals, Pour L’air candles, Boostani Handwoven Bags, and Bay of Arches home decor.

“It’s a one-stop shop for your vacation or beach-day needs. Outfitting from head to toe, we have you covered from sea to ceremony or beach to bar,” Kosturova says of the shop.

The seasonal shop will be running through at least August, according to Kosturova, with the possibility to extend into September.
