Destination Dreaming: Tulum

Destination Dreaming: Tulum

Day dreaming: the opportunity to get lost in a beautiful escape, anywhere you choose, to adventure freely, to travel, to explore... no matter where you are.

We've been indulging in a little destination day dreaming recently, imagining where we would love to travel and which of our favourite pieces we'd bring with us.

And you never know what the future may hold - as Gloria Steinem said, "dreaming, after all, is a form of planning."

So today, we're jetting off to Tulum, Mexico. We're packing bright colours, bikinis, easy coverups and throw-on dresses. With one well-packed carry-on suitcase we'll be perfectly equipped to enjoy the beach, the jungle, exploring the ruins, great restaurants, bars, and of course, some midnight dancing.

Let's start with our hero piece, the Tie-Dye Wrap Silk Maxi dress in neon fire.

We should really call it our *super* hero piece. You can crumple it up, throw it in your suitcase (or beach bag) and pull it out in perfect, wearable condition whenever you need to seriously step up your look. You won't be overdressed at the beach, at a casual lunch, or strolling through town in this silk maxi -- and by the time you get to dinner and drinks, you'll be in the perfect piece to take you into the night.

Same beautiful colours, slightly different style dress, you can also opt for the Tie Dye T-Strap Maxi Dress in a relaxed fit with a dynamic flounce at the bottom. The back is open and is beautifully accentuated by two spaghetti straps. This dresses' free-spirited silhouette blends utility, comfort and luxury for simple elegance.

Can't you just picture yourself in a long, flowing silk dress, walking down this beach at sunset?

Another standout travel piece is the Marsala Stripe Hooded Vest. It really completes a beach or pool look and also looks great thrown over cut off denim shorts or jeans. We love our maxi vest with the Seashore Angel bikini - embellished with genuine cowrie shells. It's the perfect crochet style to pack for your beach vacay.

Not just the breathtaking beaches, but also the extraordinary jungles and, of course, the Tulum ruins should be at the top of your list of places to go and things to do.

Choose easy, chic pieces to throw on on for these adventures. One of our favourite crop tops is the Bella Ballerina Top. Even cuter layered over a white tank or t-shirt. And again it's a great piece to wear over our Seashore Angel bikini crochet bikini.
