5 Classic Festival Looks
Looks that take you from day time cool to a hot night out
Festival dressing requires a mix of ease, style and comfort. You want to be able to move freely, dance and party into the night, all while looking and feeling your best. One thing to remember is that the temperature really rises during the day. Crochet is perfect for those extra hot days as it has an open structure.
We have 5 classic looks that will do just the trick...
1. Crop top with denim cutoffs
Go-to, easy, always cute and always festival appropriate. We love this look.
2. Mini skirt magic
Arguably one of the most fun options, pairing a mini skirt with a rocker tee or a matching crop top for a night out is always a hit. The ultimate bohemian gypsy babe look is head to toe crochet. We love the matching top and bottom combo, whether it be with skirts or shorts. The tonal colours also make an outfit look more elevated and put together.
3. Crochet short shorts
A step up from bathing suit bottoms, but still just as pool party worthy! This cheeky style is perfect on the hottest desert days. Take out the lining to wear them over your bikini, or keep it in and rock the short shorts. If you're going for a legs-for-days kind of look pair these shorts with espadrille wedges.
4. Crochet pants please
Harem pants are always such a cool option. These crochet ones will keep you covered up and the loose open crochet structure won't be too hot in the sun. For an even edgier look try them with genuine cowry shell embellished bikini top! The Modernista Bell Bottoms are another festival look knockout. Make them work with the western trend by throwing on some cowboy boots and a great hat, or keep them rocker chic and layer necklaces over your favourite vintage band tee.
5. Crochet dress to impress
One piece, throw on and go! A mini dress will go with any shoe you pack - cowboy boots, sneakers, sandals, gladiators, wedges or booties. A good mini dress packs a punch. We are so in love with the Seashore Angel Mesh dress. And how badass does it look with the tough leather belt around the waist?! The wide boatneck is super flattering. Wear it with a slip underneath or simply over a bikini as coverup.

Gold Fish Kiss x Anna Kosturova
Goldfish Kiss is an inspiring blog by an inspiring multitalented artist and boho beach babe, Rebekah Steen. She recently did a post about our Astral Neon Maxi Wrap Skirt (available for pre-order now!) and we loved it.
She describes her blog as her happy place. We bet that if you take some time to look around her site, you'll feel the same way about it. We definitely do! Her chic, beachy style is exactly the look we love and her fitness and beauty tips should not be missed! Rebekah has a relaxed, but chic vibe going with her site, her writing and all of her art work (check out her original prints, they are so cool)!

A friend of mine (who is ridiculously chic, and styles Sheiks, CEOs, celebs and people with special credit cards) once gave me a great styling tip: You don’t have to save the nice stuff for a special occasion. Wear it, love it, and wear it some more. Whereas my instinct = to sit and stare at it in my closet and worry about ruining it…or hoping for a special occasion to actually wear it.
Which brings me to this skirt. It was a gift from Anna Kosturova, and it took my breath away when I opened the box. Well, I’ve been sitting and staring at it, and admiring it for way too long. I have zero social life, so an event wasn’t happening, and I didn’t want to stand out at church too much.
Then I remembered the words from my ridiculously chic pal, and also had a realization: every outing to the beach is a special occasion. So I rocked the darn thing yesterday (which happened to be Levi and I’s last beach day together, just the two of us, in Florida). It was my coverup to and from the beach. I twirled in the salty breeze for a bit, I (of course) took a ton of pics, and you know what? I had a little extra pep in my step. And I plan on rocking this beauty more regularly now. Maybe even with rain boots and a sweater when in Seattle. Just not on an actual rainy day. Don’t want to ruin it.
Moral of the story: 1: ridiculously chic friends give great style advice, and 2: every day can have some special occasion in it. Whether it’s a pair of crazy shoes, a bold lipstick, some fancy jeans, or a neon tie dyed silk wrap skirt…I’m pretty sure you can find a reason to rock it.
Thank you Anna Kosturova for the skirt. I promise to rock it more regularly now.
You can pre-order the Astral Neon Maxi Wrap Skirt now!
Expected to ship by end of April.
As Seen In Cosmopolitan Magazine: Nail Spring's Trickiest Trends
Check us out in the March issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine!
We are so excited to see our Athena dress featured in this style editorial on how to Nail Spring's Trickiest Trends.
Neutrals in Spring feel fresh, elegant and fuss-free. We love how they paired it with neon-orange for a pop of colour.
Our Athena dress also has fine metallic gold filament in the weave, giving it a major goddess-y vibe.

We also love to style the Athena Dress with flat grecian sandals, or throw it on over a crochet bikini as a chic beach cover-up.

Which Spring Trends to Try First?
By Natalie Matthews Butcher
The most fun ones, of course.
Everyone knows that the weather and the Gregorian calendar don’t always communicate. Still, that shouldn’t stop us from getting excited about the official beginning of spring.
Even if the vernal equinox doesn’t instantly usher in warmer weather, the ceremonial end of winter is a decent excuse to prep your spring wardrobe. To start, focus on a few key trends for the season, specifically the more playful ones below. Whether it’s grown-up tie-dye or oversize barrettes, there is nothing austere here. And that’s the point.

Tons of Tie-Dye
Where didn’t we see tie-dye during the spring shows? It popped up at Calvin Klein, Prada and Dior and dominated at Stella McCartney. Take a cue from the runways and forgo the familiar tie-dyed tee in favor of a more unexpected psychedelic print — on ladylike mules, say, or on a top-handle bag.

Silk Style Around the World
Take them anywhere
Our Silk Resort Wear complements the crochet collection and spices the mix with exotic hand tie-dyed brights. It has a tie dye color palette that captures the look of scorching solar flares, the sun rising in a tropical paradise and the rippling reflection of lights on evening water. Free-spirited silhouettes blend utility, comfort and luxury and make dressing for deck or dinner equally simple and elegant. These pieces travel with ease, demand such little room but add so much to a holiday valise. Be it a flowing long wrap dress or a billowy sleeve chemise, harem pants or a romper, these styles are at home even in a urban setting.
They have been tried and tested all around the world. Literally. The look is romantic, but the effort is minimal. Take a look...
GREECE
Greece is a magical place. There are special shades of blues in the ocean and the sky that just don't seem to exist anywhere else in the world. These bright colours seem to burst with light against the crisp white of the buildings that rise above the sea.

BALI
The soft, warm light in Bali feels so gentle and welcoming, just like the wonderful people who live here.
Bali oozes relaxation. In keeping with this vibe, look to our easy silk pieces to keep your style elevated, yet casual. They work as perfectly lounging at the beach as they do strolling through the rice fields.

TULUM
There is so much excitement and energy in Tulum.
Here is where the jungle meets the ocean and vacation meets adventure.
It's the beautiful wildness of Tulum that we love so much. Wear your tie-dye boldly and layer with more colour, more movement, and more attitude.

Fall Style: Cozy Crochet Kimono
There's a reason we call it "the go-to"
Functional. Comfortable. Chic.
Paired with boyfriend jeans and sneakers and thrown on over a t-shirt, the Modernista Kimono takes every outfit up a notch. We've done a tonal winter white look (above) and a blue jean boyfriend look to showcase the stylish ease of this piece.
With the Modernista Kimono the styling possibilities are endless - wrap it up and secure around your waist with a belt for a figure flattering look, or go chic rockstar and wear it open over a slinky dress with knee high boots. If you want to cozy up then layer it over a turtleneck, black jeans and some booties.
We love this fringe. Fringe makes everything a little more exciting and adds movement to every look (even when you're not dancing)!
Here's to a cozy - and always stylish - Fall!

The Best Dresses for Fall
Dresses at the beach, obviously.
But dresses for fall? An unexpected win.
Adding boots, jackets, scarves, hats and even your favourite cozy sweater can take any dress from a summer staple to a fall knockout piece. We're styling our Stevie Maxi Dress and Carly Maxi Dress with cold-weather pieces to show you how to "dress" them up for fall...
First up, the Stevie Maxi Dress. Check out our video below for the full tutorial.
We added a leather moto jacket and super on trend western ankle boots to make this dress fall-ready.
We know you know this already, but we love accessories. How stunning is this vintage calf hair bag with fringe!? It works equally with leather and denim and toughens up the floral scarf and boho chic wide-brimmed hat.
Next, we style the Carly Maxi Dress. Stunning ivory white, beautiful lace-up detail on the front, and perfect-for-fall colours on the sleeve and bottom trim.
A denim jacket, much like the leather moto, is a closet MVP every time. Whether it's a faded, destroyed denim, an oversized masculine style, or a fitted clean indigo jacket, it will keep working for you for years to come.
Wear your dresses. Have fun with fall.

Fall Style: The Sahara Poncho
We need to talk about ponchos.
The truth is, they are super flattering, chic and and so stylish. Here's how you create the perfect Fall look..
One poncho, styled two ways. One look is relaxed and go-with-the-flow, the other is put-together and stylishly structured.
Style One: Let the volume and movement of the poncho be the focus of your outfit. We love this for look for daytime. Meet up with friends for shopping and brunch with your poncho on over jeans and a tee or henley.
Style Two: Use a belt to wrap around the front of the poncho, leaving the back of the poncho loose . This cinches in the waist and creates a very flattering shape. This is perfect for a Fall evening out for dinner and drinks with a killer pair of boots and chic turtleneck layered underneath.
Accessories tip: keep those trendy straw bags around through fall (they're not just for the beach)!

Fall Style: The Marsala Stripe Hooded Maxi Vest
There's an easy way to update your favourite jeans and tee look.
It's called the Marsala Stripe Hooded Maxi Vest.

Some days (most days) we just don't have the time to spend on looking perfectly put together. That's when you need interesting, easy pieces to throw on and pull an outfit together. The Marsala Stripe Hooded Maxi Vest does exactly that and adds colour and style to any outfit. We all have a favourite pair of denim that we feel great in, so layer your maxi vest over a tee or henley and you're all set.
Whether you own a pair of yellow velvet booties or not, this vest pairs beautifully with any colour boots or sneakers. It would also be super cute with a pair of white runners or wedge espadrilles.
For a sleeker, warmer look you could also put it over a black turtleneck, dark wash denim and a pair of black heeled boots. The colours will really pop over black.
All of the most beautiful fall colours are combined in this gorgeous marsala stripe. Cozy up in this vibrant crochet knit.
Fall Style: The Rising Phoenix Jacket
Boho chic is not just for the beach. Take your favourite crochet pieces and make a smooth and stylish transition into Fall.
We're starting with the Rising Phoenix Jacket. Part rocker chick, part cozy crochet knit, made even more special by youthe fact that you can wear it with the buttons in the front or the back! So basically, two tops in one.
We are officially denouncing the "no white after Labour Day" rule right here, right now. White through the winter is fresh and keeps things bright when the weather gets drab. So keep that white denim handy and pair it with creams, nudes, beige and browns for a slick tonal look. Keeping it clean and simple is the easiest way to make a strong impact.
Accessories always complete the look, so for this time of year trade in your gladiator sandals for booties. For this tonal look we went with snakeskin western boots, a brown leather bag with braided straps and a wide-brimmed hat. Incorporating a little western vibe into your wardrobe will keep you very on trend for this season.
Tassels! Embellished with genuine cowrie shells, the tassels add movement and interest to a classic silhouette. On colder days undo the buttons in the front and wear it like an open jacket over a long sleeve white henley.
